Villain Month Commeth!

Sun Oct 4, 2009, 6:43 PM
  • Mood: Excited
  • Listening to: The muffled sound of night incects outside
  • Reading: Labyrinth fanfiction
Villain Month: Draw a different villain each day for the whole month! (Simple enough, right? ^^)

Ok, honestly I don't really recall ever having heard of this before... Ok well maybe something years ago, the memory is very fain (more like minor deja vou really)... But anyway, I just found out that October is apparently Villain month. I have no idea by who's decree, and my minimal attempts to research the event have not been fruitful. The idea sounds very interesting to me however! I only found out on the second I think, so I've missed a couple, which i may try to make up. In fact, I couldn't help myself and I went ahead and did my villain for tomorrow tonight as well! XD I'm gonna scan and post them as soon as I get a good chance. I've got a whole pile of stuff to scan and clean actually, and my files are rapidly turning into an unnavigable mess the way I have them organized currently... Darn...

Now the Irony here is actually the fact that about three weeks ago my English teacher assigned us to do an expository essay on whatever we liked. I was going to do something which is something of a running joke with me and my close friends that involves me doing the same subject for projects every year, and having teachers be none the wiser. (The main problem with this of course is that once you know all the facts, you don't need to do any research, so you have no resources to sight, which makes your teachers very, very annoyed.) So anyway, I had this paper to do, and I wasn't going to have access to the internet over the weekend that I was supposed to dig into researching on, so I had to make a decision, and I literally came up with a new topic while riding my bike down the hill to the library. I began playing with the idea of doing a paper on the relationship of heroes and villains and their roles in today's society. I've been absolutely obsessed with Labyrinth, Jareth in particular, for some time now, so I've been thinking deeply about our perception of villains lately. The point of this story though is that I wrote the darn paper, (yeah it's an awesome paper too XD), and I'm turning it in tomorrow mourning, not realizing til yesterday how apt my timing and subject were.

Join in everybody, and have a great Villain Month! ^^

I live in Ohio in the United States, and I gotta say I love it here. I live in a kind of small town, but it's still a collage town so in some ways were not nearly as rural as we might be otherwise. I must say though that I take issue with that song 'Come Back to Texas', not a whole lot really, and not even for the fact that they insult Ohio. It's actually that there's one line that goes like this: "There's nothing wrong with Ohio, except the snow and the rain."

True, in some instances the snow can be a pain, and it's hell, when the two mix together. But come ON, the rain is the best part! It's always all wet and clean smelling and stuff! XD

As you can probably tell by looking through my gallery, I love drawing dragons, ice-phoenixes, and my OC Aqua. I'm also working out how to draw my favorite characters from some of my fandoms such as: Seto Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh, Quicksilver of Marvel comics, and Jareth from Labyrinth (His hair is so much fun to do! XD).

I also have a fanfiction.net account under the name Pinfeathers.

If there was only something between us
other than our clothes

Nostalgic for 80s fantasy films. When glitter was cheap, monsters were muppets, and Evil was sexy.
